NEXT STOP.. BROMLEY

FROM FRONT PAGE against Manchester United. The Eagles have endured the worst-ever start to a season by any club in the Premier League era. They were thumped 5-0 at Manchester City on Saturday, and face United and Chelsea next. And Hodgson (with Pep Guardiola, right) said: “There’s a risk that United and Chelsea will be as capable as City have been. They’ll punish us if we don’t get things right.

“If the players want to get some points on the board, they’d better try harder to get them against United and Chelsea.

“If they don’t, they’d better learn to live with that, and get them off the teams that follow – because it’s not a question of words, it’s a question of actions.”
