NHS ‘failing abused kids’
ABOUT 1.2 million abused or neglected children are let down by mental health services, a report says.
A children’s charity says 83% of local NHS clinical commissioning groups have poor mental health care plans for youngsters.
Research shows abused or neglected children are twice as likely to develop clinical depression.
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children said: “The Government needs to hold CCGs to account.”
