Pledge to change organ donor law
SUPPORT Mirror editor Peter Willis chats with Jeremy Corbyn at the Brighton bash AN opt-out system for organ donation will be introduced if Labour is elected.
The change comes after the Daily Mirror’s two-year campaign.
Mr Corbyn told delegates he decided to introduce the policy after being “deeply moved by the Daily Mirror’s KARAOKE Ashworth and Rayner with Mirror editor-in-chief Lloyd Embley, left campaign to change the organ donation law.” The switch will assume consent for donation unless people opt out.
Mr Corbyn’s pledge will pile pressure on Theresa May, who said earlier this year she’s “considering” a law change but has since been silent on the issue.
