Machete row former child star is jailed
A FORMER child actor who played the first black Heathcliff on film has been jailed after wielding a machete in a family row.
Solomon Glave – hailed for his role aged 13 in 2011 film Wuthering Heights – was holding the 2ft blade as police confronted him.
He dropped it when told but became aggressive and was Tasered by officers.
They been called to the scene by his dad, who said Glave was “threatening to harm him” at his home in Firth Park, Sheffield.
Glave, of Firth Park, had “no intention” of using the blade in the row last month, the city’s crown court heard. He admitted possessing a weapon, obstructing police and breaching bail conditions from a previous offence, and was jailed for a year.
