Mum died ‘after stabbing in front of toddler by partner’
A WOMAN died six days after her on-off boyfriend stabbed her in front of her toddler daughter, a court heard.
Katrina Evemy, 19, never regained consciousness after the attack at her home in Llanelli, South Wales.
Dylan Harries, 22, allegedly turned up in April with a blade after hearing she had kissed another man at a club. Patrick Harrington QC, prosecuting, said Harries was “possessive and jealous” and launched an attack that left her 22-month-old covered in her blood. He said: “He inflicted appalling injuries on her by stabbing her repeatedly. A gravely aggravating feature is that the attack was in the presence of the victim’s young daughter.” Harries, of Panteg, Llanelli, claimed she was attacked before he arrived. He denies murder and the Swansea crown court trial continues.
