PM: I wept for tower victims

THERESA May says she wept when visiting victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in hospital.

The PM was criticised at the time of the tragedy in June for an “unemotional response”.

But she told LBC radio she had cried after coming face to face with victims, saying: “I felt the tragedy.” She said the priority must be helping those affected.
