JUDD TRUMP held off a Mark Allen comeback to keep his European Masters title defence on track.

World No.4 Trump (below) beat Northern Ireland’s Allen 4-3 to set up a clash with Cao Yupeng in Belgium.

The win ended five years of hurt for The Juddernaut against bogeyman Allen, who had won their last five clashes.

Trump, who won this event in Romania 12 months ago, said: “The great players defend titles, I haven’t done it yet and it would be a great milestone. I’m very pleased to be in the semis.”

China’s world No.77 Cao shocked two-time world champion Mark Williams with a 4-2 win in Lommel.
