Gwyneth & Angelina: Movie boss tried it on with us

HOLLYWOOD SEX BEAST SCANDAL Weinstein confronted by Brad Pitt Three others claim he raped them

GWYNETH Paltrow and Angelina Jolie claim Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed them.

And three other women allege the producer raped them. Gwyneth, dating Brad Pitt at the time, said: “I was expected to keep the secret.”

GWYNETH Paltrow claims Harvey Weinstein left her feeling terrified after he summoned her to his hotel room and tried to get her to give him a massage as a young actress.

The Hollywood star along with Angelina Jolie are the biggest names so far to make sexual abuse allegations against the movie mogul.

And she claims he warned her not to tell anyone of the unwanted advances, leaving her fearing he would strip her of the movie role he had given her.

It comes as actresses Asia Argento and Lucia Evans as well as an unnamed woman sensationally claimed Weinstein raped them.

And George Clooney told how he heard rumours of sex pest claims against the disgraced producer in the 90s.

Gwyneth alleges she was called to Weinstein’s room at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel after she had been hired for the lead in Jane Austen’s Emma as a 22-year-old.

She said she rejected his unwanted advances and left stunned.

The 45-year-old added: “I was a kid, I was petrified. I thought he was going to fire me.”

Gwyneth confided in her then boyfriend Brad Pitt, who is said to have confronted Weinstein. But she claims the furious producer called her and ordered her not to tell anyone about the hotel encounter. She added: “He screamed at me for a long time. It was brutal. I was expected to keep the secret. He was alternately generous and supportive and championing, and punitive and bullying.” Angelina claims Weinstein made unwanted advances toward her during the release of Playing by Heart in the late-90s, which she rejected. She told the New York Times: “I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did. This behaviour towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable.” The rape allegations against Weinstein came in an article in US magazine New Yorker. Italian Argento, 42, said she feared the producer would “crush” her if she snubbed his advances at a French

hotel room in 1997, when she was 21. She claims he performed a sex act on her as she begged him to stop.

Argento had consensual sex with Weinstein over the next five years, with the first taking place before the release of her film B. Monkey.

But she added: “I felt I had to. Because I had the movie coming out and I didn’t want to anger him.” Four other women claim in the New Yorker they were touched without consent. Actresses Mira Sorvino, 50, and Rosanna Arquette, 58, also allege Weinstein made advances. Arquette, who appeared in his movie Pulp Fiction, claimed her career suffered as a result of her snubbing him.

Actress Louisette Geiss claimed Weinstein made her watch him carry out a sex act while she was pitching a movie at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008. She added: “My heart was racing. I was very scared.”

Movie legend Clooney, 56, who was given his big break by Weinstein, said: “The rumours in general started back in the 90s, and they were that certain actresses had slept with Harvey to get a role. I took those with a grain of salt. But we’re hearing now about eight women being paid off, I didn’t hear about that. That’s a whole other level. It’s indefensible. I had knock-down fights with him [Weinstein] over the years, but he was also making films that other studios weren’t willing to. So you put up with certain bad behaviour because you felt like, well, if he yells and screams but he gets Pulp Fiction made, who cares?”

A chorus of Hollywood stars last night praised Weinstein’s alleged victims for coming forward, including Dame Judi Dench, Kate Winslet, Glenn Close, Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lawrence and Meryl Streep.

Weinstein has been sacked from his own firm over the claims.

His spokeswoman said: “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr Weinstein. Mr Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances.”
