Domino’s Pizza is on track to open a new branch in the UK every four days.

Boss David Wild said he was confident of adding a record 90 outlets in 2017, takings its total to more than 1,000.

It came as the chain revealed a near 21% jump in sales in the 13 weeks to September 24.

An advertising blitz saw it take a record 200,000 online orders - or 140 a minute - on the last Saturday in September.

Shares in the firm, which has branches in the UK, Ireland, Iceland, Switzerland, Norway and Sweden, jumped nearly 9% yesterday.
