1.35m traffic jams in year

DRIVERS delayed in 1.35 million snarl-ups last year cost the UK £9billion.

Traffic analysts Inrix also said the worst month was November with 169,000 major road jams.

Inrix’s Dr Graham Cookson said sitting in delays – caused by fuel spills, emergency repairs and break downs – was “costly” and “frustrating”.
