I despair at the horror of chairs

I saw The X Factor this weekend and couldn’t believe the Six Chair Challenge. It’s so wrong – and is playing with people’s emotions in the name of entertainment.

The producers need to take a long, hard look at the contestants’ faces once the chairs are filled. As for the baying audience, just think the Colosseum in Rome circa AD80. Victor Laidlaw St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex
