Film fan finds love thanks to Yoda tattoo
A MAN with dwarfism who found love thousands of miles away thanks to his Yoda tattoo has got married in a Hobbit house.
Three-foot Phil Lusted’s inking of the Jedi character, with the words “Judge me by my size, do you?”, caught the eye of Star Wars fan Kathleen Brogan, of Seattle, Washington State.
The pair got talking on Facebook last year and within a few months they were spending a lot of time together in the US city where Kathleen, 27, lives with her daughter.
Phil, 32, and Kathleen wed at a “Hobbit house” or earth-home in Seattle after falling in love “pretty instantly”. Phil said: “It went great... It had been raining for a few days but an hour before the wedding the sun came out, which was perfect. The freelance web designer added: “My favourite moment was saying my vows to Kathleen and placing the ring on her finger – then we officially became husband and wife.” Accountant Kathleen said: “It was unbelievably beautiful. It was just as we planned and was so nice to have loved ones there with us.” Kathleen described Phil as “one of the kindest, most loving humans I’ve met”. She said: “He’s hilarious, brilliant and a total babe.” Phil, from Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales, has diastrophic dysplasia – a disorder of cartilage and bone development. He hopes to move to Seattle.
