‘I’d talk about the wonderful feelings of joy she gave us’

The actor lost his two-year-old daughter Maude after she contracted sepsis.

He dedicated his 2015 Bafta for The Lost Honour of Christophe­r Jefferies to Maude, who died in 2011, and campaigns for greater awareness of the deadly infection.

A teary-eyed Jason, 51, says: “I think if I were to have another minute with her, I think I’d say... I’d remind her of all the wonderful things that she’d given us and all the wonderful things we did. And talk about as much as I could in that minute, all the wonderful feelings she gave us and the joy and that she won’t be forgotten, and that she’s handed on all her beauty to her sister and us.” An emotional Jason, who has two other children with his wife Clara Francis, adds: “We’ll never forget her, that’s what I’d say to her.”
