League Cup, 7.45pm

HORDUR MAGNUSSON is out to haunt Roy Hodgson again – after helping to dump England out of Euro 2016.

Magnusson (above) was part of the Iceland squad that sent England spinning to a shock defeat and ended Hodgson’s reign as boss.

The Bristol City defender faces Hodgson again in the League Cup tonight when the Championship side host Crystal Palace.

“I think I will get a flashback when I see him,” said the former Juventus defender.

“But he is a good coach and they have a really good team and we need to worry about their attackers – good players, quality players who can do things.

“We went into that game without pressure and knew they were going to have loads of pressure on them.”

City are looking to make Palace their third top-flight scalp of the season and Magnusson added: “If we can beat Stoke and Watford, we can beat Palace. It depends how they come into the game.”

Palace boss Roy Hodgson dismissed fears his squad cannot sustain a cup run as well as fight for Premier League survival.

Hodgson, whose side are bottom of the table with only three points, said: “It’s not difficult to play on two fronts – the top teams in the country are doing it on three fronts because they have European football as well as the League Cup.

“It’s only a question of how I interpret the work priority, every game is a chance for us to show that we’re a good team.

“I hope I’ll have a strong team going to Bristol and we’re going there to try to win.”
