Almeyda in the Mex for Foxes
MATIAS ALMEYDA has emerged as a shock contender for the Leicester job.
The former Argentina midfielder, who played against England at the 1998 World Cup, is now the boss of Mexican side Guadalajara. He previously coached River Plate and Banfield back in his homeland.
Almeyda, 43, played for Sevilla before seven seasons in Serie A with Lazio, Parma, Inter Milan and Brescia.
Michael Appleton won his first game as the Foxes’ caretaker boss against Swansea on Saturday.
