HOT SNOD DRIVES VILLA’S RUN

- BY BRENDAN McLOUGHLIN

ROBERT SNODGRASS believes Aston Villa’s promotion charge is gathering momentum.

Steve Bruce’s men have moved to fifth in the table after winning six of their last eight games.

And Snodgrass (right) says they head into today’s clash against Sheffield Wednesday with confidence sky-high.

“Momentum – you can see it now,” said the on-loan winger. “There are lads working really hard for each other. But we have a very tough game at home to Sheffield Wednesday. They are a good side, and have firepower.”

Snodgrass slammed parent club West Ham’s manager Slaven Bilic for playing him out of position.

But he is delighted to be reunited with his old boss at Hull City, Bruce.

He added: “It’s all about man-management. The manager takes care of his squad and you are seeing it on the pitch.”
