Keane to set aside any club ambitions

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND assistant boss Roy Keane says a return to club management is “on the back burner”.

Keane (above) has agreed a new deal with Ireland up to the 2020 European Championship. Ahead of Saturday’s World Cup play-off tie with Denmark, he said: “I enjoy working with Martin O’Neill, the staff and FAI. The only thing on my mind is helping the team try to get to the World Cup. In terms of club management, all that is on the back burner.”
