Gossip Girl star ‘also raped me’
Second accuser goes public with allegations against Ed Westwick
A SECOND woman has come forward to accuse British actor Ed Westwick of rape.
Aurélie Wynn claimed the star of US TV drama series Gossip Girl and BBC comedy White Gold attacked her in 2014 in Los Angeles, saying she was “powerless” to stop him.
The allegation was made a day after actress Kristina Cohen claimed he raped her, also in LA in 2014. Westwick, 30, has denied any wrongdoing.
There have been questions raised about why he was not immediately suspended by the BBC after the first accusation became known.
The Corporation started shooting the second series of White Gold at the end of October and it was believed that Westwick was still in his role yesterday morning – after the second rape allegation came to light.
Last night the BBC had not revealed if he has been suspended or not.
BBC Radio 5 Live sports presenter George Riley was suspended by the broadcaster after complaints of sexual harassment were made against him. In a Facebook post Aurélie, an actress at the time Westwick allegedly attacked her, said: “Like Kristina, I said no and he pushed me face down and was powerless under his weight.
“I was wearing a one piece bathing suit that he ripped, I was in complete shock. I am also very tiny.”
Westwick said last night: “It is disheartening and sad to me that as a result of two unverified and provably untrue social media claims, there are some in this environment who could ever conclude I have had anything to do with such vile and horrific conduct.
“I have absolutely not, and I am co-operating with the authorities so that they can clear my name as soon as possible.”
Kristina, 27, has lodged her complaint with the Los Angeles police department.
