Debenhams has drafted in Moulin Rogue star Ewan McGregor to boost festive sales.
The actor appears at the end the department store’s Christmas TV advert – a modern take on classic fairy tale Cinderella. Debenhams joined a host of retailers – from John Lewis and Marks & Spencer to Sainsbury's - which launched christmas adverts this week. The Advertising Association estimated firms will shell out a record £6billion on festive marketing this year.
