HE’S A GOVE PUPPET
MICHAEL Gove shows himself up as a snake in the grass when he is prepared to sacrifice a young mother’s freedom to save Brexit bromance chum Boris Johnson.
How unforgivable to muddy the waters by claiming he did not know why Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was in Iran before her arrest.
Her husband Richard’s insistence that Nazanin, who has dual BritishIranian nationality, went to see her family should be good enough for Gove. Only the Tehran theocrats, who are notorious for trumped-up charges, and stupid Johnson claim she was working there.
Gove’s one-man rescue mission to save Johnson is doubly ill-judged when criticism from other Tory MPs is already sounding a death knell for the leadership ambitions of the worst Foreign Secretary in decades.
Should Johnson’s criminal gaffe result in another five years behind bars for Ms Zaghari-Ratcliffe, I propose a prisoner swap – with Johnson taking her place to atone for his dreadful blunder.
He can take Gove with him.
