It appears the sexual harassment scandals have drawn a line, either side of which we aren’t sure where to stand.

Take for instance the handshake, nod or smile we seem to have dispensed with as a greeting in favour of the continenta­l hug, whether the recipient wants it or not. We all know how innocently it is intended, but how long will it be before it’s considered inappropri­ate? Dennis McDermott Dagenham, Essex

The Government should close all these tax loopholes in the Isle of Man and other British dependenci­es. Also, the wealthy, including MPs and peers, should not have protection over their banking facilities. But nothing will be done, by this Government or any other. Ian Fleck, Par, Cornwall

I am so fed up with people moaning about how bad the soaps are. Yes, they are dark, but that is how the world is today. People say they preferred Corrie in the old days, but then programmes weren’t fighting for ratings. If you don’t like the programme, turn it off. Mel Ingleton Coulsdon, Surrey
