RESURGENT FOXES WELL GROUNDED

-

LEICESTER kept their feet on the ground despite a fourth win in a row – when a plane ready to fly them home from Southampton developed a fault and could not take off.

They had to leave the aircraft and travel by bus instead and did not get back until 3.30am on Thursday following a 4-1 win at Saints.

The bleary-eyed players snatched a few hours’ sleep and reported for training later that morning. “We had some problems after the game, they were angry with us [for winning] I think,” joked Foxes boss Claude Puel (left).

“For their recovery it’s not good but sometimes we have to adapt.”
