Price falls as shops play catch up

SHOPPERS will blow £7billion this week as stores offer deals better than Black Friday.

Prices are tumbling in the Christmas countdown with Argos, Debenhams, Gap and John Lewis knocking up to 50% off items. Lisa Hooker, of accountants PwC, said retailers were trying to shift festive stock especially “as snow and ice put a dent on high street footfall across large parts of the country”.
