Axe throwing has always been a big competitive sport in Canada, but last year it caught on in America, too. Now, the next logical step: drunken axe throwing.

Bars with names like Kick Axe are popping up all over the country, where you can chuck lethal weapons around while under the influence of “the finest local craft beers, wines, and ciders”. One of the bar managers describes the vibe at his joint, Urban Axes, as “edgy.”

Hold turkey

There’s a new movement aiming to persuade everybody to give up eating all animal products come the new year. It’s called Veganuary. So hard to rail against something when the name of it makes you giggle every time you hear it.
