No reservations from Holiday Inn

The owner of the Holiday Inn chain has become the first UK-based firm to hail a boost from President Trump’s tax shake-up.

InterContinental Hotels Group said Trump’s package of measures, including lowering America’s corporation tax rate, would save it a packet from next year onwards.

It is also expected that the measures will result in a “significant” tax credit.
