All parents want their children to do well, but what you have to concentrate on is finding a job that gives you pleasure if you intend to do it for the rest of your working life.
Job satisfaction is the most important thing, and an apprenticeship might be a better use of your time than more academic study.
I knew what I wanted to be at the age of three and I trained and worked in my “calling” for 60 years because I loved it so much.
Decide what YOU want, then go for it. Don’t mess about.
