All those Christmas songs can get on your nerves but we still sing along. Especially after a drink or two!
But some are particularly poignant... Like Mud’s Lonely This Christmas.
Loneliness isn’t just miserable – it can be a killer.
The Jo Cox Loneliness Commission found that being lonely increases the risk of premature death by a third. It’s worse than overeating or smoking 15 fags a day.
And yet it is a problem we can all do something to tackle.
Ed Sheeran’s Perfect was this year’s Christmas number one.
And while perfection may be difficult to achieve we can all try to make life a little better for someone by reaching out to them to make Britain a less lonely place.
