Young to get boost in wills
YOUNG people will get the biggest “inheritance boom” of any post-war generation, according to a report.
The Resolution Foundation said nearly two thirds of those aged 20-35 have property-owning parents.
But based on parental life expectancy, they will not inherit it until age 61.
Laura Gardiner, senior analyst at the thinktank, said: “It’s unlikely to come when they’re coupling up, having children, and trying to buy a family home when the extra wealth would be much needed.”
