Thug’s threat claim before attack on ex
A CYCLIST who rammed into his former girlfriend and her new lover claims he had been threatened by the pair, a court has heard.
Paul Gallon, 36, left his ex Holly Blake, 33, with serious head injuries after riding into her and William Nicholson, 44, as they walked together.
Gallon admits causing GBH and was due to be sentenced yesterday.
But the judge said he needed to hear more evidence to see if there was “a previous issue… which caused the defendant to act in the way he did”.
Newcastle crown court heard Gallon, of North Shields, Tyne & Wear, and Mr Nicholson exchanged “tit-for-tat” texts before the attack in nearby Whitley Bay in 2016. The case was adjourned until May.
