GARBAGE ANGRY MOURINHO DISMISSES ACCUSATIONS HE’S ON HIS WAY OUT OF OLD TRAFFORD

‘I still have a contract, in fact I’m in the middle of my contract and my intention is to stay, and to improve and to bring the club to where it belongs’

suggestions he will go as “garbage” and said he wants to stay beyond his current three- year deal. Asked about the speculation,

Mourinho said: “Garbage – I don’t find a better word to define the talk.

“If you want to ask me directly if I see myself next season at Manchester United, I say I see myself here. And, as I said when I arrived, I’m going to leave when the club wants me to leave. My intention is to stay, to improve, and to take the club to where it belongs.”

Talks are already under way between Mourinho’s representatives and United excutive vicechariman Ed Woodward (above) about extending the self-proclaimed Special One’s £12milliona-year deal, which currently runs until 2019 with the option of an extra year.

The Old Trafford chief reacted angrily to suggestions he was not committed to United and could move at the end of the season, with PSG an option. Despite the title already being out of reach, Mourinho said the only way he would leave was if the club sacked him.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager, who replaced Louis van Gaal (above) in May 2016, said: “I don’t see any reason not to stay. I’m in the middle of my contract, I’m not in the last couple of months, and my desire is to stay as long as the owners and the board are happy with my work.

“I’m in the middle of my contract. Whether or not I sign a new one depends on the club but my commitment is total.”

Mourinho added: “The worst thing anyone can say to me is not that I’m a bad manager, it is to express doubts about my professionalism and my dedication to my club.”
