PEP SET TO MOVE FOR SANCHEZ

MANCHESTER CITY are ready to make a swoop for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez. They were hoping to sign the striker (below) for free in the summer when his contract runs out at the Emirates. But an injury to Gabriel Jesus plus interest from Paris Saint-Germain has prompted a rethink and there is a feeling in the Sanchez camp that Pep Guardiola might act this month. The biggest sticking point will be the price, with Arsenal likely to demand around £30million. Sanchez’s form has dipped this season, especially after Chile failed to qualify for the World Cup, giving him less of an incentive to play well.
