PARDEW TO BAG EVANS CASH AND GO SHOPPING

-

ALAN PARDEW is ready to splash the cash by selling centre-half Jonny Evans.

The West Brom ace is at the centre of a tug-of-war between Manchester United and Manchester City.

Evans was left out of the side which beat Exeter with goals from Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez (left).

The Baggies claimed he had suffered a foot injury in training – and Pardew said: “As it stands at the moment there is no bid for Jonny.

“But if a bid comes in that is acceptable to the club, we are ready to go and move if we need to.

“It would be naive not to have that plan in place. If it does happen, hopefully it will happen earlier rather than later for us.

“When Newcastle decided to sell Andy Carroll on the last day of the window, that’s when you have got problems.

“You haven’t got time to get a replacement in.”
