It’s just like watching a Brazil team

GARY BRAZIL admits he has no chance of getting the Forest job – even after masterminding their FA Cup heroics.

Caretaker boss Brazil (above) expects the club to appoint a new manager this week and believes the win over Arsenal underlines the huge potential at the City Ground.

Brazil said: “We thoroughly deserved what we got and I’m really pleased for the players. It’s got to be something we build on. It’s a really good project for whoever becomes Forest manager because, with a bit of strengthening, it’s a really good squad.”

Brazil, who stepped into the hot seat following the sacking last week of Mark Warburton, went on: “I’ve been asked to take the team on a game-by-game basis. “I’ve been in this game since I was 16 and you gain a lot of knowledge over the years.” And the 55-year-old, recalling the gloy days of former European Cup winners Forest, added: “This football club should be playing against the Arsenals of this world and they should be beating them. “This crowd deserves to be seeing Premier League teams. That’s what we’ve got to strive towards. “Forest are a massive club and today we’ve shown that we have the fanbase and potential to be in the big league.” Brazil praised man of the match Ben Brereton and unlikely two-goal hero Eric Lichaj, his American right-back. Brazil added: “Ben is a nightmare for centre-halves. When he goes behind he’s awful for them to play against and his hold-up play was strong. The shackles came off him and we saw a real good player. Eric is massively committed and very important to us. He’s always fancied himself to go and score at set-pieces. And what a really nice strike for his second goal.”
