BT SCORES IN PENSION PLAN
BT has cleared the first hurdle in a controversial bid to revamp its pension scheme.
Managers at the telecoms giant have voted to accept a deal negotiated by the Prospect union. BT still faces a showdown with the Communication Workers Union over the plans, which include closing its defined benefits scheme to future accruals from this April. The Prospect vote is a welcome boost for BT as it gears up for the forthcoming auction of Premier League rights.
BT Sports, which showed Spurs’ victory over Burnley last month when Harry Kane scored a hat-trick, could face competition from Amazon as well Sky, according to reports.
