They’re going for urn brew
RESIDENTS of Glasgow put the kettle on more than anywhere else in the UK – seven times every day.
A poll of 2,000 adults for renewable energy firm Pure Planet found this is more than London (five) and Leeds (six). Families in Birmingham came bottom with four. The survey also highlighted energy wasting.
Steven Day, co-founder of Pure Planet said: “Half of Britons still leave TVs on standby and more than half needlessly leave lights on when they leave the room.”
