Roy’s new knee blow

- BY ADRIAN KAJUMBA

ROY HODGSON faces more injury misery with Jeff Schlupp expected to be out for two months.

Left-back Schlupp left the Amex on crutches after being forced off just 13 minutes into Crystal Palace’s FA Cup defeat against Brighton on Monday.

The 25-year-old is understood to have suffered medial ligament damage in his right knee, in a 50-50 challenge with Brighton’s Izzy Brown, who also had to come off.

Eagles manager Hodgson also fears Andros Townsend will be missing for the next few weeks, after the winger came off at half time and left the ground in a protective boot.

These latest injuries have added to the former England boss’s headaches, as he already had six players sidelined with a variety of knocks.
