MARK WILLIAMS asked for the Masters trophy to be removed yesterday – but could be lifting it for a third time at the weekend.

The two-time Dafabet Masters winner pulled off a stunning 6-5 comeback win over world No.1 Mark Selby at Alexandra Palace last night. Williams (left), 42, admitted: “I couldn’t see the scoreboard the way the big, blue light was coming off the trophy.

“In the end the tournament director took it out, but it would be nice to see it again on Sunday and hold it up.”
