400 budgies need a home

THE RSPCA is looking to find homes for nearly 400 budgies it saved after their owner went into hospital.

The birds are now at RSPCA branches and private establishments.

Liz Wheeler, an inspector with the charity, said: “We’d like the budgies to go to new aviary homes where they can live with other budgies and have lots of space to explore.”

The birds, at a semi in Brighton, East Sussex, were signed over by the owner to the RSPCA.
