UKIP leader Henry Bolton has ditched his race row lover and vowed not to quit his job.

But the ex-Army Captain lashed out at his enemies and claimed they had thrown glamour model Jo Marney “to the wolves” to get at him.

Mr Bolton, 54, told ITV’s Good Morning Britain: “A failed group within the party have looked at a young woman, whose life they have destroyed. People have been prepared to throw her to the wolves to attack me.”

But he added: “I have ended the romantic element to our relationship.”

Ms Marney, 25, was suspended by the party after she made racial slurs about Prince Harry’s fiancee Meghan Markle. More horrific messages are understood to show Ms Marney making jokes about child abuse. But Mr Bolton insisted: “I am not intending to resign,” as questions mounted over his judgment in leaving his wife for Ms Marney. On Sunday he faces the party’s ruling National Executive Committee, with two NEC members claiming there was enough support to force a membership vote on whether he should be ousted. West Midlands MEP Bill Etheridge has quit as UKIP’s sport spokesman in protest at Mr Bolton’s refusal to go.

WHO says romance is dead when the leader of UKIP is prepared to lay down his girlfriend for the sake of his unpaid post.

The party looks deservedly over for hapless Henry Bolton, who in dumping his wife for a racist younger model might as well have signed his own P45.
