ILKAY GUNDOGAN has vowed that Manchester City’s players will not dwell on the end of their unbeaten run.

City’s 4-3 loss at Liverpool on Sunday brought to an end their 22-game unbeaten spell in the Premier League this season and dashed their hopes of matching Arsenal’s Invincibles of 2003-04 by going the entire campaign undefeated. But Gundogan said Pep Guardiola’s side will recover quickly. “We’re very disappointed but we have to accept it, keep our focus and look forward to our next game,” said Gundogan (left). “Pep said it would be nearly impossible to go all season without losing. We’re disappointed but now we must look ahead.”
