THREE MOUR YEARS NOW

JOSE MOURINHO is close to agreeing a contract extension at Manchester United.

His representatives have been in talks at Old Trafford over changing the terms of his current £15million-a-year deal, which is up in June 2019.

Although talks are still progressing and nothing has been signed so far, both parties are confident an extension – likely to run to June 2021 – will be agreed in due course.

Mourinho (above) described as “garbage” recent claims he was set to quit United this summer because he felt unable to overhaul Manchester City.
