You’re cruising for a soothing
GOING on a cruise may give passengers long-term mental and emotional health benefits, a study says.
While most holidays lead to a feelgood factor, that usually disappears soon after.
But with a cruise, the positive effect continues for up to six months, say researchers. This is because it taps into three different kinds of wellbeing – getting away from it all, meeting new people and broadening the mind by seeing new places.
Jiaying Lyu, leader of the study team at of Zhejiang University in China, said: “Cruises offer more value than simply short-term hedonistic experiences.”
