Wait four it, warns De Bruyne

- BY ADRIAN KAJUMBA

KEVIN DE BRUYNE says Manchester City are not thinking about winning the Quadruple.

But he admits lifting the League Cup will give Pep Guardiola’s side the taste for more silverware.

City took a big step towards claiming their first trophy of the season by overcoming Bristol City 5-3 on aggregate to reach next month’s Wembley final.

The Blues are running away with the league and turn their attention to the FA Cup and a fourth-round tie at Cardiff on Sunday.

Next month the Champions League returns, with City big favourites to reach the last eight after a favourable last-16 draw against Swiss side Basel.

And after winning 32 out of 36 games in all competitions season, a clean sweep is a real possibility for City.

“We are not thinking about it,” De Bruyne said.

“Obviously we want to try to do it, but to win all four, it’s a hard task.

“We just want to win the game coming up. So next is the FA Cup against Cardiff, and then it goes on.

“It’s the positive thinking from game to game that is better than to think two months ahead.”
