POCH SLAMS CONTROL FREAK WENGER

- BY DARREN LEWIS

MAURICIO POCHETTINO has refused to rule out a potential move to Real Madrid – and taken a potshot at rival Arsene Wenger. Pochettino (left) is among the candidates to succeed Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu, with Real out of the Spanish Cup and 19 points behind leaders Barcelona in La Liga. The Spurs boss said: “You never know in football. That is the problem at most clubs, it is a very unstable. It is not a position like Sir Alex Ferguson had at Manchester United or Wenger has at Arsenal – they have full control of everything. They decide if they stay two more years or another year or retire.”

Wenger complained earlier this week that Pochettino and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp received more credit then him, even though Arsenal have won three of the last four FA Cups compared to no trophies for the other two. Poch hit back, saying: “Wenger has to understand how difficult it is for a coach here, you don’t have full control.

“That is the difference to him. He has full control of everything. He decides whatever he wants to do.

“That’s why people appreciate it when Liverpool or Spurs play well. They are completely different for the managers.”
