DONALD Trump’s apology for spreading around the world videos by far-right British extremists was both begrudging and resentful.

The churlish US President was like a scolded toddler saying sorry without really meaning it to avoid missing out on a chocolate biscuit.

Good for Piers Morgan pressing him on the Britain First scandal but the prodding required to secure even the partial acknowledgement of the offence cause revealed much that is unpleasant about the White House buffoon.

Impulsive Trump is always quick to hit out – as shown when last year’s state visit never happened and he chucked his toys out of the pram, and cancelled next month’s trip because there isn’t enough love for him.

He’s living in cloud cuckoo land if he thinks there’ll be a warm welcome for him when he finally does come to Britain.

Yes as our Prime Minister, Theresa May needs to speak to him but let’s hear less about this one-way, needy “special relationship”.
