Wave goodbye to sea of nostalgia

With reference to the hype around the Churchill film Darkest Hour and actor Gary Oldman’s nomination for an Oscar, it seems this country is drowning in a sea of nostalgia.

It is time we stopped looking backwards and started facing up to the present and the future. Very few people now were alive during the last world war, and they were just children. It’s time to let it go and deal with the here and now.
