Rees-Mogg protest ‘legit’

JACOB Rees-Mogg has played down an encounter with masked protesters.

The Tory MP told a parliamentary committee their heckling of his speech was “perfectly legitimate” but called the masks “sinister”.

Video showed Mr ReesMogg stop them scuffling with an audience member at University of the West of England, Bristol, last week.

But he said: “I knew they weren’t going to hit me.”
