£278k cheat to repay £5

A BOGUS investigator who scammed £278,952.48 was told to pay back just £5.

Simon Delow, 49, was on licence for an earlier fraud when he targeted three families who lost relatives overseas, claiming to be a special forces veteran.

He got 10 years for fraud last October. A Proceeds of Crime probe has now found he has no means.

At Durham crown court Delow, of Brockworth, Glos, was ordered to pay the token confiscation amount within 28 days.
