Wife: I’ll clear rapist hubby
THE wife of man found guilty of two rapes – in 1983 and 1988 – has vowed to clear his name.
Eric McKenna married in 1982 and as his wife left court she said: “He is innocent, I’ll fight to prove it.”
She had given evidence for him, saying he was “shy and very kind” and never forced her to have sex.
McKenna, 58, was snared by DNA after a row with neighbours in 2016.
He was told he faces a substantial jail term when sentenced next month.
