Game on for Sports Direct
Some Sports Direct stores are to get special video gaming zones.
Shoppers will be able to play against one another in selected branches under a deal announced yesterday.
Sports Direct, controlled by billionaire Mike Ashley, is buying 50% of high street chain Game Digital’s e-sports offshoot for £3.2million.
The division, called Belong, organises events where gamers compete in front of crowds. Ashley already owns a 26% stake in Game.
